The 80's energy shines through with the sound of the LinnDrum, analog synths, and my signature thumping bass guitar sound supporting catchy rhodes & synth melodies.


As I finished “After All These Years” and turned my focus toward completing “A Child of The 80’s Vol. 2”, I planted my mind firmly in 1983 and drew inspiration from the year I first began creating my own music.

My first year of High School is also the year I wrote my first song. I have always been captivated by the sound that was popular at that time. In particular, I remain inspired by the sound of Prince’s “1999” album – which was released in 1982 but was definitely still hot in ’83. That sound has inspired much of the music I have made over the last 40 years.

For this song - and the whole EP - I decided to be more intentional about making music that would have fit into 1983. I have grown a lot as an artist and a producer since I released Vol. 1 back in 2020 and I wanted to refine and continue the sound I established on that project.

I hope y’all dig it.

Shout out to the team at SAMPLES FROM MARS for dropping the best Linndrum samples I’ve ever heard.
Those drums definitely make this track hit like I want it to.
